Live Event FAQs

Where can I check to see if I'm registered?
You can check online.
Where is packet pickup?
When is packet pickup?
Packet pickup will be determined closer to race day..
Who can pick up my race packet?
You may pick up your number yourself at packet pickup Saturday or Sunday. If you need someone else to pick up your number – Only another registered runner can pick up for another runner. They must pick up their race number first before they pick up the other runner’s number. Numbers will not be released to non-registered runners. You can also add on packet mailing at registration to have your bib and race swag shipped right to your door!
When do I line up for the start?
Half marathoners should plan to line up in the start corral by 7:45 a.m. while the 5K runners should line up in their corral by 8:30 a.m.
What are the course time limits?
The time limit for the 5K is 45 minutes. The Half Marathon course time limit is 3 hours & 15 minutes. This is about a 15 minute per mile pace.

We have strict rules from the State DOT and the towns about how long the course can be open. Participants found on mile 6 on the course at a slower rate than 15 minutes per mile will be asked to turn around and head back to the finish. They will still get a time and medal.

Where can I redeem my beer tickets?

Tickets can be redeemed at the following locations – The Beer Garden at the Sea Shell Stage, NOLA, Boardwalk Café & Pub, and Sea Ketch.

Can I run with headphones, a baby stroller, or my dog?
Because wearing headphones greatly reduces your ability to hear race marshals and car traffic, we strongly discourage their use on the course. Baby strollers or any other pushed equipment are not allowed*. Dogs are not allowed in the race, and are prohibited from going on the beach. *Wheelchairs and other disabled push strollers are allowed, but please contact us to let us know you are coming.
Where are the toilets and water stops?
TOILETS
There are State Park bathrooms near the Sea Shell Stage, North Beach bath house, and at Miles 4, 6.5, and 11. There will also be porta-potties at packet pickup and the Smuttynose Beer Garden.

WATER STOPS
Half: There will be water stops at Miles 2, 4, (+Gatorade) 6.5, energy gel, 8.5 (+Gatorade), and 10.5.

5K: There will be one water stop at Mile 2.

Where is the best place for spectators to watch?
Since the course is closed to all auto traffic, we strongly suggest that spectators stay right in the beach area for the best viewing. If you watch the start at the intersection of C or D Street and Ashworth Avenue, it’s then a simple 1-minute walk to see the race again at Mile 1, Mile 4, and the finish.
Are spectator vehicles allowed on the course?
NO SPECTATOR VEHICLES ALLOWED ON OR NEAR THE COURSE
Due to large traffic issues our host towns have asked us to eliminate spectator vehicles on Hampton and North Hampton town roads. Our permit is based on your cooperation with this policy. Please do not jeopardize future races by attempting to drive on the course during the race. Areas along the course will be posted with no parking signs and you may be towed!
Will there be a bag check?
Yes, There will be a bag check tent near the packet pickup area and you must return there to pick up your bag after the race. Articles of clothing that are left unclaimed after the race will be donated to a local homeless shelter. Loco Races is not liable for any losses or theft that may occur. Please be sure to pick up your bag by noon.
Will there be changing rooms?

What about GPS course measurements?
The half marathon course is certified and accurate according to USATF standards. However, your GPS measurement of the course is bound to be different and will most likely show the distance covered to be “long.” This is normal, and here’s a very technical explanation why: In GPS We Trust.
